Graduated

Again, for those who know my history, this post is a continuation of the former blog. And… I’ve finally graduated from ASU with my bachelor’s degree in Computer Science. As part of the experience you get your picture taken by the folks who want your money, so just to prove that it happened:

And:

The interesting thing about my experience was that the whole day I was worried it wasn’t going to happen. My coworkers went out into the desert to shoot each other (via airsoft):

Both my brother and I were graduating that day. So I just took the day off so I could relish in finally being done without worrying that I would get my eye shot out or some other major setback that would prevent me from walking across the stage to shake hands with someone I had never met before. As with most college and high-school graduation ceremonies, they don’t actually give you your diploma when you graduate, rather they just shake your hand and give you a gift or something. Because I was graduating from the college of engineering and applied sciences, they gave us a really nice pen set that had a tire pressure gage and a little flashlight. Probably the most expensive nerdy gift I ever got, but definitely worth it.
